It's Been a Good Hunt!

Well fellow hunters it is time to say goodbye.U-Hunt Excursions has had fun the last 16 weeks on social media. We created many accounts like Blogger, Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. We had to keep them updated every week, and had to do some side jobs like a podcast and a contest.

This was a great learning experience and a fun time. It help me realize how much time and energy is really put into the social media sites. It was fun promoting something I have a real passion for. With the knowledge I learned with working with social media's it will help me in my future career in Marketing. So farewell my hunters, and this is goodbye for now.

Deer Season!

Guess what time of the year it is. Not only is it close to Thanksgiving but its also deer season! Just dream about that 10-pointer, thick as beef and rack glinting in the late-day sun, stepped out of the greenbrier, took a quick look around, lowered his head and began sneaking your way. You put tension on the bowstring. Twenty seconds later he stopped, snapped his head up, and wheeled back into the thicket with astonishing speed. You hadn’t moved. Hadn’t made a sound. And the evening breeze was perfect. But the buck was gone, and once again your were left to wonder went wrong, and to marvel at the uncanny senses of a mature buck.
Here are something's you didn't know about deer senses. Deer can see you better than you think deer have a wide field of view. They can scan the woods and pick up any movement at or just below the horizon. They can hear what you can hear, deer can detect ultra-high frequency sounds that we cannot hear. They also can smell you from a half a mile away. So the next time you go hunting think about how good a deer senses are.

The good ole hunting beard!

Well hunters its No Shave November and that means growing your beard out for Deer Season. Most serious and successful hunters know that hunting season doesn’t begin on opening day; it starts in the weeks and months prior to the season. While preparing for the fall hunts isn’t a half day or even a one-weekend project, there’s still time to get ready. Be sure you know all the details about the upcoming season dates, license and permit requirements, fees, bag limits and other rules. Many of these details change year to year, so never assume that last year’s regulations are going to apply to your favorite hunting spots this season. If you want to here some tips on deer hunting check out my podcast at https://soundcloud.com/luhlig/u-hunt-exursions .

South Africa

If you plan on doing a safari hunt in South Africa we can give you some information about hunting, fishing safaris and photo safaris. In South Africa they can offer rifle & bow hunting for plains game and dangerous game. Also, wing shooting for francolin, guinea fowl, waterfowl, dove and pigeons. South Africa truly is a hunters paradise with its abundance of game and excellent trophy.  We can help you carefully select controlled conservation areas that will have the best of opportunities to bag a top quality trophy.
Fishing in South Africa there is a wide variety of fishing as well, offshore fishing for Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Kingfish and many more. We can also help you decide if you'd rather go freshwater fishing for species like the Tiger fish, Barbel, Bass and more. We can include fish safaris into your hunting safari.
There are fantastic opportunities for the people in your group who don't hunt for photo safaris. The opportunities are endless, from Cape Town in the south of South Africa to the Victoria Falls in Zambia and Zimbabwe, with that in mind places to visit like the Cape wine and garden route, to the Kruger National Park with lots of great photos of the wildlife and landmarks.

Hunting For Facebook Privacy

When you are on the internet there is no such thing as privacy. But, Facebook can provide some opportunities to your online, but it all depends on how you use the settings. For a lot of people they post every little detail about themselves on Facebook, but you need to be careful on what exactly you are going to share by setting restrictions on your privacy setting in Facebook. With the privacy setting you can have control on what you want people to see, what you share, photos you are in, and the list goes on and on.
During our Social Media Marketing Class I learned that my personal Facebook was not that private. My settings were set to allow everyone to see what I was doing, I realized that I don't want or need people who I don't know, to see what I was posting or looking through my photos. I have changed my setting so that only people that I am friends with can see my profile. I also learned that you need to be careful of what you post. For example don't post when you are going to be out of town or even out of your house for a few minutes. This is because this information can allow unscrupulous people who see that post to know that you are out of your home and steal from you.
I didn't realized how many privacy setting options that Facebook has. I can make sure that only I can see a photo album that I posted. I realized that I had my phone number up on Facebook and I only want certain people to have my number, so I took that off. I even deleted people that I never met in my life as my Facebook friends and only kept the people that I know. After that class I learned that it is very important to have your profile set to private.

A Little Something For Everyone

Scheduling a hunting trip with us is a lifetime experience that you and your whole family can remember. There is no hunt that is the same. You can chose where and what you want to hunt, if you want to  hunt in the states or out of the country. We have some of the best guides. Are guides are very friendly and very knowledgeable in what they are doing.
Each season, many of our clients experience the excitement and magic that we call one of our hunts. Your hunt will be custom tailored to be what you want it to be. Everything will be based on YOUR interests, time frame, and budget. We offer a variety of lodging combinations, we are able to make reservations at any lodges you want to be in. We do realize that one of the most important factors of a hunt is the number of wildlife encounters you will get. All of our hunts are designed on a monthly basis to take advantage of curtain seasonal wildlife of where you would travel. If you like to be isolated, we can take you deep into an isolated wilderness where packaged tour companies don't go! So come on down, or give us a call and we will set up a time to meet and talk about a hunting trip.
